Bright Talkers is a language-focused group designed for children ages 5–8 needing support expanding their expressive language and building more detailed, organized sentences. This program uses a structured, visual approach to help children move beyond single words or short phrases and communicate with greater clarity and organization.
The Expanding Expression Tool (EET) is used as a framework to support children in learning how to describe, explain, and organize their language. Through guided practice, children build vocabulary, strengthen sentence structure, and develop more complete communication skills. Children learn to expand language by describing items and ideas using the following attributes:
category
function
appearance
parts
location
